Privacy
The short version
- No accounts. We never ask for your name, email, phone number or location.
- Your progress, streaks and stats are saved only on your own device.
- No ads, no analytics, no tracking, and no cookies.
- We don’t sell or share information about you, because we don’t collect any.

1. Who we are
Leaf N Hope Play is a set of free daily word games (Step by Step, Bloom, Untangle and Hunch) at play.leafnhope.org. It’s a project of the Leaf N Hope Foundation (“we”, “us”), a nonprofit focused on suicide awareness and prevention.
2. What stays on your device
To remember where you are, each game saves a few things in your browser’s storage on your own phone or computer:
- Your progress on today’s puzzles
- Your stats and streaks (for example, how many days you’ve played)
- Whether you’ve already seen the “How to play” screen
This never leaves your device, and we can’t see it. Because it’s stored in your browser, it won’t follow you to another device. To erase it, clear this site’s data in your browser settings.
3. What reaches our server
When you open a game, it asks our server which puzzle is set for today. That request includes only the date. It doesn’t include anything about you or your progress.
Like every website, the companies that host and protect this site may keep standard technical logs, such as your IP address and browser type, under their own privacy policies. We don’t use these logs to identify anyone.
4. Sharing your results
The “Copy result” button copies a short summary (like your number of steps or guesses and a row of leaves) to your clipboard. Nothing is posted anywhere. If you paste it somewhere, that’s your choice and that service’s privacy policy applies.
5. What we don’t do
- We don’t use cookies, analytics, advertising, tracking pixels or third-party scripts. Even the fonts are served from our own site.
- We don’t create accounts or ask for any personal information.
- We don’t sell, rent or share information with anyone.
6. Children
The games are suitable for all ages. Because we don’t collect personal information from anyone, we don’t collect it from children under 13 either.
7. Links to other sites
Links to leafnhope.org and other sites take you to pages with their own privacy policies.
8. Changes to this page
If we change how the games handle information, we’ll update this page and the “Last updated” date above.
